KG2’s Makar Sankranti Celebration in Living Colour

In the tapestry of our lives, celebrations weave vibrant memories, and at Global Toddlers, every occasion becomes a joyful tapestry with our little ones. The inaugural festivity of 2024 unfolded with the Sankrati/Pongal celebration on January 12th.

Makar Sankranti marks the sun’s transition into Capricorn, signifying a new phase. Dressed in ethnic attire, our KG2 toddlers embarked on this cultural journey with enthusiasm. The festivities began with Mrs. Bibhudutta Satpathy, the Headmistress of Global Toddlers, traditionally boiling milk in a clay pot, thus symbolising prosperity and abundance.

The crescendo of the celebration was Mrs. Bibhudutta’s blessings showered upon our little ones, a moment imbued with warmth and significance. As the event drew to a close, folk tunes filled the air, and our children swayed to the rhythm, their laughter echoing the joy of the festival.

The festivities concluded on a high note with each child taking home sweet memories, along with a Makar Sankranti kite as a cherished keepsake.

Here are a few glimpses of the celebration.
