Field Trips

Field Trips:

Field trips are an essential part of the educational experience at Global Toddlers. These outings serve the valuable purpose of observation for education and provide our students with hands-on experiences beyond their everyday classroom activities. Our carefully planned field trips offer unique opportunities for learning that extend beyond the confines of traditional classroom walls.

We organize three field trips every year, each thoughtfully aligned with our monthly themes. These trips are designed to be not only educational but also enjoyable and safe for our children. They provide a holistic learning experience that allows children to connect with the world around them and gain a deeper understanding of the topics and concepts discussed in our programs.

Sports:

At Global Toddlers, we understand the significance of sports and physical activities in the development of our little learners. Our students are exposed to various activities and sports that aim to enhance their gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and overall physical fitness.

Annual Sports Meet

Every year, we organize an Annual Sports Meet to encourage active participation from all our children. We consider the age of our kids and select child-friendly games that are not only enjoyable but also contribute to their overall development. This event fosters a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork among our toddlers.

Developmental Focus

Our sports programs are designed to lay a strong foundation in terms of spatial orientation, locomotor skills (such as hopping, jumping, skipping, running, jogging, and various animal walks), and gross motor skills. We introduce children to various activities like football, hoopla, balance walks, zig-zag walking, side walking, backward walking, balance stunts, tumbling, parachute activities, catch and throw games, and more.

These activities contribute to the development of key physical attributes such as balance, coordination, flexibility, agility, and strength. We aim to provide a well-rounded sports experience that encourages physical fitness and an appreciation for the joys of movement.

VIVA VIVACIOUS Interschool Football Tournament:

Each year, Global Toddlers proudly hosts the “VIVA VIVACIOUS” Inter-School Football Tournament, exclusively designed for toddlers aged 5- 6 years ( only KG2 children). This event has grown to become a highly anticipated and iconic occasion, attracting participation from over 20 schools across Bangalore.

Championing the Field:

We take immense pride in our achievements as we have been crowned tournament winners for three consecutive years. Our young athletes showcase their skills, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship, earning recognition for their talent on the football field.

A Platform for Social Growth:

Beyond the thrill of competition, “VIVA VIVACIOUS” offers our children an opportunity to engage in playful interactions with their peers from other schools. This interaction fosters the development of essential social skills, creating a dynamic and supportive environment where children learn to work together and forge lasting friendships.

A Record-Breaking Initiative:

Our commitment to promoting sports at a young age has earned us a special place in the history books. “VIVA VIVACIOUS” has been acknowledged by the Limca Book of Records for pioneering football matches for boys in the age group of 5-6 years, underscoring the uniqueness and significance of this tournament.

At Global Toddlers, we believe in the power of sports to instill values, build character, and create memorable experiences for our young learners. “VIVA VIVACIOUS” is a testament to our dedication to fostering a spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and friendly competition among our toddlers.

Competitions

To inspire creativity and joy in our young learners, Global Toddlers hosts a range of exciting competitions. These contests offer our children the opportunity to express themselves and display their talents. Our competitions cover various fields, including:

Coloring

Freehand Drawing

Storytelling

Clay Modeling

Collage Making

Show and Tell

Puppet talk

Recitation

And many more.

We encourage every child to participate in these competitions, fostering a sense of achievement and self-expression. Additionally, we conduct frequent show and tell activities and role-plays to boost their confidence and enhance their communication skills. Each month, based on the concepts taught, children engage in one competition and one activity, ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience.

Project Based Learning:

Project based learning or PBL is another unique initiative where children conduct a lot of activities and do a comparative study for a particular concept. This is a two week long process which first starts with a pre introductory session followed by the PBL week where kids do a lot of innovative activities. After the PBL week there is a PBL culmination where parents are invited to their child’s class to witness what the children have done during this PBL period. All the children get an opportunity to display their public speaking skill and their confidence in front of the parents.

Festivals

At Global Toddlers, we celebrate various festivals with enthusiasm and reverence to instill cultural awareness and values in our children. Some of the festivals we celebrate include:

Makara Sankranti: Marked with great enthusiasm as the kite-flying day and harvest festival.

Pongal: Celebrated as a thanksgiving ceremony for the year’s harvest.

Krishna Janmashtami: A delightful recreation of Brindavan with little Krishnas, Radhas, and Gopikas. Traditional matkas are broken, and chocolates are distributed, creating an ambiance of merriment.

Dussehra: Toddlers have a gala time celebrating Navratri and Dussehra in an enthusiastic and remarkable way. They enjoy performances explaining the significance of Navratri while wearing colorful traditional attire and participating in exciting activities.

Diwali: This prominent Hindu festival is celebrated with great pomp and show. The school is adorned with clay lamps, candles, and flowers to mark the festival of lights.

Eid: The importance and significance of Eid, also known as the ‘feast of sacrifice,’ are explained to the children.

Christmas: The birth of Jesus Christ is celebrated to convey his message of love, tolerance, and brotherhood. Children dress up for Christmas, and the school resonates with carol singing, merry-making, and an atmosphere of giving and sharing.

At Global Toddlers, festivals serve as opportunities to teach children about our cultural heritage and values, fostering a sense of unity and joy among our young learners.

Special Day Celebrations

We cherish the significance of special days and celebrate it to create memorable experiences for our children and their families. Here are some of the special days we commemorate:

Parent Engagement:

Family Day is a heartwarming occasion where parents spend quality time with their children at school. It’s a day of engagement for both parents and their wards, as they participate in specially designed activities by teachers, strengthening the bond between family and school.

Independence Day:

On Independence Day, we instill a sense of patriotism in our young toddlers. We proudly hoist the tricolored Indian flag and plan various activities and celebrations to nurture a love for the country and its history.

Teachers Day:

Teachers are precious possessions for our little ones. On Teachers Day, our toddlers express their love and affection through sweet smiles and hugs. It’s a day to appreciate and celebrate the invaluable role that teachers play in their lives.

Children’s Day:

Dedicated to Chacha Nehru (Jawaharlal Nehru), Children’s Day is a vibrant and joyful occasion. Our little ones come to school dressed in colorful clothes, and teachers plan numerous activities to keep them happy and engaged, fostering a spirit of fun and celebration.

Graduation Day:

Graduation Day is a significant milestone for our KG 2 children as they prepare to embark on their journey to a bright future. Our KG 1 little ones perform for the KG 2 children, extending their best wishes for success in their future endeavors.

Grandparents Day:

This special day is dedicated to the love of grandparents. It’s a time for storytelling, sharing experiences, enjoying their company, and savoring their delicious cooking. These cherished moments with grandparents are exhibited in the school premises, creating a sense of happiness and contentment among our little ones.

At Global Toddlers, special day celebrations are more than just events; they are opportunities to strengthen bonds, build character, and create lasting memories that enrich the lives of our children and their families.
